​PAYMENTS, REFUNDS, AND CANCELLATIONS
Sicily Artist Retreats takes pride in creating an exceptional experience for our guests. However we understand that plans can change. We want every participant’s experience with Sicily Artist Retreats to be seamless and worry-free from the moment you register. The policies below are designed to be clear and fair, and we encourage you to read them carefully before booking.
1. Retreat Pricing and Payment
Retreat pricing varies based on earlybird discounts, instructor fees, materials, and transportation to sites within Sicily.
Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your place. We do not offer deposit-based reservations. For added flexibility, we partner with Klarna, AfterPay, and Affirm, allowing participants to spread payments over time.
2. Participant Cancellation Policy
Because commitments for accommodations, transportation, staffing, and operations are made well in advance, we ask that you plan accordingly and register only when you are confident in your attendance.
Before the six-month cutoff:
Cancellations received more than six (6) months prior to the workshop start date are eligible for a full refund, less the 2.5% non-refundable ticket service fee.
After the six-month cutoff:
All payments are non-refundable. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy regardless of circumstance, which is why we strongly advise all participants to obtain travel insurance.

3. Cancellation by Sicily Artist Retreats
In the event that Sicily Artist Retreats must cancel a retreat due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, or circumstances beyond our control—including but not limited to natural disasters, travel disruptions, or global events—all payments made to Sicily Artist Retreats will be fully refunded.
Sicily Artist Retreats is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants, including flights, independent accommodations, or other travel-related costs.
4. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly advised for all Sicily Artist Retreats participants and should be obtained prior to or at the time of registration. Given our non-refundable policy after the six-month cutoff, a comprehensive travel insurance policy is your best protection against the unexpected — including illness, injury, family emergencies, and travel disruptions.
Travel insurance is available through many reputable providers. For reference purposes only, companies that offer travel insurance include Allianz Travel Insurance, Travel Guard, and Generali Global Assistance, among others. Sicily Artist Retreats makes no recommendation regarding any specific provider and is not responsible for the terms, coverage, or performance of any insurance policy. Participants are solely responsible for researching, selecting, and obtaining coverage appropriate to their individual needs and circumstances.
5. Prices and Inclusions
Unless otherwise stated, retreat pricing includes instruction (instructor, studio, and model fees), accommodations for the duration of the workshop, admission to scheduled sites, a welcome dinner, and in-studio lunches when applicable. While admission to planned sites is typically included, certain optional visits or activities may require separate payment.
Participants are required to bring the materials listed by the instructor for their workshop. Alternatively, certain supplies may be covered through a Paint Pass or Plein Air Kit equipment rental, where offered. We recommend referring to the workshop materials list for details on what is included and what is available in the studio.
